IRONIC Gel

INTRODUCTION:

IRONIC hemostatic is a 20% ferric sulfate equivalent solution with inert binding agents in a viscous, aqueous vehicle. Formulated exclusively by Nikdarman Company, this product has a pH of ~1.0 and contains specific agents to limit the acidic activity, making it kind to hard and soft tissue. Compared with aluminum chloride based hemostatic formulations, IRONIC stops bleeding in seconds, saving chair time and eliminates sulcular fluid contamination for optimal bonding. IRONIC is recommended for dental and oral surgery procedures to arrest surface capillary bleeding. Such procedures include fixed prosthodontics, restorative-operative, periodontal treatment, etc. IRONIC is also recommended for retrofillings, canine impactions, gingivectomies, and as a fixative for pulpotomies.

COMPOSITIONS:

Ferric Sulfate Hydrate (20%), Glycerin, Aqueous Vehicle, General Anesthetic Agent, Buffer, and Deionized Water.

INSTRUCTIONS for USE:

1. Burnish the hemostatic agent firmly against the sulcus until bleeding stops.
2. A blunt, bent cannula with padded “scrub brush” enables infusing and cleaning in the cut sulcus.
3. Apply firm air/water spray to remove residual coagulum and test tissue for quality, profound hemostasis. If bleeding continues, repeat infusion technique.
4. In less than 30 seconds, rinse the impregnated area with the pressure of the air mixture to prevent discoloration of the tooth tissue.

PRECAUTIONS:

Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed accidentally in large quantities, seek medical help immediately.

STORAGE:

Keep in the original package at room temperature (below 25 °C) away from light and moisture. In case of gradual use, store the product in refrigerator (4 to 8 °C), and away from direct light.
