Canal EZE based on citric acid is a highly efficient product for root canal preparation in endodontic treatments, which is available in two types of 40% solution and 20% gel. This product is applied for washing, disinfection and mechanical cleaning of the root canal. By more effectively removing the smear layer (compared to EDTA), citric acid exposes the dentine tubules and clears it of the pulp residues, and enables accurate and better penetration of the sealant. Also, citric acid gel has lubricants that, in addition to cleaning the root canal, facilitate the entry of the instrument into the canal and minimize the possibility of the instrument breaking.
